Demand Planner / Supply Planner

Location: London
Working Pattern: Hybrid – 2 days in the office, 2 days from home
Salary: £45,000–£50,000 depending on experience

The Role

We are working with an established and growing Personal Care business in London that is looking to appoint a talented Demand Planner / Supply Planner to join their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planning professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in ensuring products are available at the right time, in the right quantities, while maintaining strong stock and service levels.

You will work closely with teams across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Procurement, Logistics and Finance, taking ownership of demand and supply planning and helping the business make informed decisions around inventory and future requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the demand planning process, developing accurate forecasts based on historical data, sales trends, promotional activity and business plans.

  • Translate demand forecasts into effective supply plans to ensure product availability.

  • Monitor stock levels, inventory requirements and product availability across the business.

  • Identify potential stock shortages, excess stock and supply risks, taking proactive action to resolve issues.

  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing teams to understand new product launches, promotions and changes in demand.

  • Collaborate with Procurement and suppliers to ensure products and materials are available when required.

  • Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and logistics partners to manage supply requirements and delivery schedules.

  • Maintain accurate planning data within the relevant ERP/planning systems.

  • Analyse forecasting accuracy, stock levels, service levels and other key planning metrics.

  • Support the introduction and ongoing management of new products and product launches.

  • Review historical sales data and market trends to identify changes in demand.

  • Work cross-functionally to improve forecasting accuracy and overall supply chain performance.

  • Help manage inventory levels while balancing customer service, availability and working capital.

  • Escalate and communicate supply issues clearly to relevant stakeholders.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the wider supply chain and planning function.

  • Produce regular reports and planning updates for key stakeholders.

About You

We are looking for someone who is commercially aware, analytical and highly organised, with a genuine understanding of demand and/or supply planning.

You will ideally have:

  • Previous experience within Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Supply Chain Planning or a similar role.

  • Experience working within FMCG, Personal Care, Beauty, Cosmetics, Healthcare or a similar fast-moving environment.

  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.

  • Experience working with forecasting, inventory and stock management.

  • Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with large volumes of data.

  • Experience using ERP, MRP or demand planning systems.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.

  • A proactive approach to identifying and solving supply and stock issues.

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.

  • The ability to work comfortably in a fast-paced and changing environment.

  • A commercial mindset with the ability to understand how planning decisions impact the wider business.
