We are helping a brilliant Manchester based beauty brand find their next Brand Manager. They have well and truly moved past their start up phase and are now making serious waves in the UK market. Their products are flying off the shelves in major high street retailers, and their online community is growing every single week.

They have a great culture. They are very down to earth, hardworking, and creative, but with massive global ambitions. They need a Brand Manager who can jump in and help them keep that momentum going.

What you will actually be doing:

As Brand Manager, you will be looking after the identity of the brand. This is not a job where you are just handed a global toolkit to copy and paste; you will actually be helping to build the strategy from scratch. You will report to the Head of Brand and get involved in a bit of everything, from new product launches and creative campaigns to social media strategy and retail pop ups.

It is a really varied role. One day you might be digging into the data to see how a recent campaign performed, and the next you could be briefing a creative team on the exact look and feel for a brand new skincare range.

Your day to day will include:

  • Planning and delivering marketing campaigns from start to finish, creating work that gets people talking and buying.

  • Working closely with the product team to bring new innovations to market. This covers everything from the naming and packaging to the launch event and influencer strategy.

  • Partnering with the sales team to make sure the brand looks incredible in store. You will create displays and activations that actually catch a shopper's eye.

  • Briefing internal and external designers, photographers, and videographers so every piece of content looks top tier.

  • Keeping an eye on what competitors are doing and spotting the next big beauty trend before it hits the mainstream.

  • Managing the marketing budget and making sure every pound is working hard.

  • What we are looking for You really need to have a background in the beauty, skincare, or personal care industry. You need to understand the quirks of this sector and how beauty consumers think.

  • You have a great eye for visuals and copy, but you are also totally comfortable looking at a spreadsheet to figure out what is driving sales.

  • You are a self starter. Things move quickly here, so you need to be the kind of person who can take a brief and run with it, juggling a few projects at once without getting overwhelmed.

  • The team loves getting together in their city centre office to bounce ideas around, so you need to be happy coming into Manchester three days a week.

  • You are a great communicator and can build relationships easily, whether you are chatting to a junior designer or a senior retail buyer.
