National Account Manager

Location: Manchester Area (Hybrid – 3 days office, 2 days home)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven National Account Manager to join a growing business based in the Manchester area. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced account management professional to take ownership of key national retail and distribution accounts, driving revenue growth and building long-term strategic partnerships.

The ideal candidate will come from a Beauty, Personal Care, FMCG, or Consumer Goods background and have a proven track record of managing major customer relationships and delivering commercial success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop relationships with key national retail and wholesale accounts.

  • Deliver sales, profit, and growth targets across designated customers.

  • Lead annual business planning, forecasting, and budget management.

  • Identify opportunities to increase distribution, promotional activity, and market share.

  • Negotiate commercial agreements, pricing, and promotional plans.

  • Analyse sales data, market trends, and customer performance to identify growth opportunities.

  • Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and Product teams to ensure successful account delivery.

  • Prepare and present customer reviews, business updates, and strategic growth plans.

  • Monitor competitor activity and industry developments.

About You

  • Previous experience as a National Account Manager, Senior Account Manager, or similar commercial role.

  • Experience within Beauty, Cosmetics, Personal Care, FMCG, or Consumer Products is highly desirable.

  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.

  • Proven ability to manage large retail or distributor accounts.

  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience using sales and performance data.

  • Self-motivated, organised, and results-focused.

  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
